Marks & Spencer has become the first chain to stock mange tout grown in the UK.
The vegetables are grown in the Cotswolds and his shelves at the high street giant this week. A larger crop is planned for next year.
The greens are traditionally grown in Kenya.
“We know our customers love to buy British where possible and are delighted to offer our customers the first British Mange tout,” Simon Coupe of M&S told the Daily Telegraph.
