World foods brand Tiger Tiger is taking on Nobby's Nuts and KP with an exotic range of peanuts.
Tiger Tiger Nutties! come in six flavours including Japanese wasabi, Thai chilli and soy ginger (rsp: £2.45). The nuts would be popular with recession-hit consumers who were staying in more, said head of sales Sanjay Snood. "We spotted an opportunity to broaden the appeal of snack nuts with a range of pub and bar-inspired products that people will be excited to enjoy and share."
The company was already in discussions with retailers with a view to listings, he added.
