Burts Chips has teamed up with Guinness to launch the world’s first crisps flavoured with the black stuff.

The hand-cooked Guinness Burts Chips, which have been in development for six months, roll out this month to the on and off-trade in 40g packs (rsp: 75p) and 150g sharing packs (rsp: £1.99). The packaging features the Burts logo set against the black finish of Guinness.

“There’s no better combination than a pint and packet of crisps, so a stout-flavoured crisp seemed the obvious next step,” said Burts marketing director Leane Bramhall.

The crisps follow the launch of Guinness-branded peanuts and cashews earlier this year.
