The deadweight price of beef is still falling in France, with low milk prices leading to increased dairy cow culling, boosting beef supply on the domestic market.

UK beef prices also remain down year on year as 2015 supplies exceed 2014, though prices have risen in recent months as demand improves and supplies tighten.

Elsewhere, Brazilian beef prices are rising after drought hit pasture levels and stock conditions amid continued high export demand from Russia.

Pork prices in the UK have faced downward pressure from low prices in Continental Europe, with demand not currently matching the high levels of production. Danish pork prices are also falling as a result of the Russian ban on pork imports in the EU.

UK lamb prices are increasing as strong demand ahead of Easter pushes them up month on month and year on year.
