rachels organic yoghurt

Rachel’s Organic has launched its first 0% fat flavoured Greek-style yoghurts.

The trio is rolling out next week in peach & passionfruit, lemon & ginger and blueberry (rsp: £1.99/400g). It joins the brand’s 0% ‘natural’ variant alongside a new Banana & Dulce de Leche flavour SKU.

They would tap the “fitness and wellbeing trend”, which Rachel’s said had helped Greek-style flavoured yoghurts post impressive growth, up 22.4% to £22.8m [IRI 52 w/e 5 December 2015].

Pitched as a premium offering, the 0% fat range “exemplified” Rachel’s aim to offer consumers a wide variety of textures and flavours, even when it came to healthier products, said marketing manager Daniel Wheeler.

The brand will be hoping the launch helps reverse a 13.8% drop to £36.3m suffered by Rachel’s Organic last year [Nielsen 52 w/e 10 October 2015].

“We’re confident that our new Greek-style yoghurts will be winners with our consumers who are looking to start the year on a healthier note,” said Wheeler.
