A Scottish family-run c-store chain is launching its own fascia as part of growth plans to have 15 stores by next year.

Dynamic Retail, which had been trading under the Premier fascia, has relaunched as Scotfresh. The chain, which currently has eight stores, is looking at sites across the central belt.

“We’ve enjoyed an exceptional relationship with Booker and indeed continue to do so,” said MD Shaun Marwaha. “However, after taking the decision to grow the business very quickly - we had just three stores just over a year ago - we felt we wanted to shift the focus to our own convenience brand.”

Marwaha brought in ex-Booker retail development controller Chris Gallacher as retail operations manager six months ago. The business remains affiliated to Premier.

Food to go will be a key feature in Scotfresh’s growth plans. Its Denny and Armadale stores have state-of-the-art kitchens used to create menus and experiment with products.

“Customers will come to recognise our stores as somewhere they can come to buy freshly prepared food to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner,” Marwaha added.
