Poundland has launched its first third-party promotional voucher campaign after teaming up with Mecca Bingo.

Shoppers aged 25 and over who spend £10 will receive a £5 Mecca Bingo online voucher at the till.

“The introduction of third-party promotions is a great way to provide our customers with added value and create a point of difference,” said trading director Richard Lancaster. “The Mecca Bingo promotion is the first of many to come.”

The move comes after Poundland started sending out money-off vouchers to Facebook fans, offering a £2 discount on a £12 shop. A spokeswoman for Poundland confirmed the vouchers were having a positive effect on footfall.
