Waitrose has signed up Pippa Middleton to write a regular column for its monthly magazine Waitrose Kitchen.

The sister of the Duchess of Cambridge was chosen for her “wealth of experience of entertaining”, in part gleaned from working in her family’s party business, the magazine’s editor William Sitwell said.

Middleton, whose first column will appear in the April edition and focus on casual dining ideas and recipes, expressed delight at writing for the magazine, which she described as a “source of inspiration”.

“My column, ‘Pippa’s Friday Night Feasts’ will be an exciting opportunity to share my own passion and enthusiasm for food and entertaining and I can’t wait to get started,” she added.
