Asda is trialling a new Thai range on the Curry Pot ‘food to go’ counter in its Harlow store. The dishes are scheduled to be rolled out to a second store next month and, if successful, a national roll-out is on the cards for next year.

Manufactured by Oriental chilled ready meals supplier Kwoks, the meals, which include green Thai chicken curry, yellow Thai vegetable curry and sweet and sour king prawns with shiitake mushrooms, all retail at £2.79 per portion. There is also a range of snacks and dips.

An Asda spokesman said the addition was part of the multiple’s strategy to expand the international theme of its Curry Pot range.
