Deliveries at Brakes grind to a data halt

Brakes was forced to cancel all deliveries last Thursday after its data server failed.

All orders taken by Brakes last Tuesday and Wednesday were affected "due to a major technical incident".

The failure at the external company that manages Brakes' server prevented any data access.

Thursday deliveries were rearranged for Friday or Saturday with normal service resuming on Monday.

"Our sincere apologies go out to all affected customers for any difficulties that we anticipate this incident may have caused," it said in a statement.
