Lidl launches store finding iPhone app

Lidl has launched a new mobile app for the iPhone.

Although it stops short of offering online shopping functionality, the app provides a store locator in the UK and abroad, as well as details of special offers for food and non-food products. Users can also set up messages to remind them of items they want to buy before a sale finishes.

The app has been well received by users, who have praised its ease of use and functionality - and called for more features to be added, such as click and collect shopping.

It has an average app store rating of 4.5 stars out of a possible five.
