Landmark Wholesale has rejigged its trading department to place a greater emphasis on own label.

Jon Burton takes up the new role of senior trading controller for own brand. The buying group said Burton had been specifically charged with helping achieve the company's ambitious growth targets for own label.

Last month Landmark Wholesale revealed own-label sales during February had soared 28.3%, with year-to-date sales up 17.3%. It has reported particular success for its No3 tobacco products and LSV energy drinks and plans to further increase sales in the coming year through "an ambitious schedule of new product launches".

Meanwhile, Jim Brown becomes senior trading controller for branded. He will oversee terms, industry cost price and promotional activity between Landmark Wholesale and branded suppliers.
