Morrisons prepares for Christmas with humorous ad campaign
Morrisons has ditched last year’s celebrities Andrew Flintoff and Bruce Forsyth for a humorous take on Christmas preparations in its festive TV campaign.
The 90-second ad, which breaks on Sunday night during The X Factor results show, features situations such as battling with the Christmas turkey, making school nativity costumes and entertaining unexpected guests.
Morrisons said that by portraying “the hard work and comedy moments that go into making the day special, rather than a picture-perfect day” showed that it “understood the pressures that families faced”.
The ad is backed by 20-second slots which show how Morrisons can help solve some of the problems faced. Many of the solutions were based on the expertise of Morrisons Market Street staff, Morrisons added.

Best advert I've seen in years, it depicts my feeling running up to and during the Xmas period, it could'nt be more correct!! It also brings much needed humour into our homes (especially the fighting turkey) and I'd like to say "well done Morrisons" fantastic, it made me laugh so much the tears were dripping off my chin!! You have hit the nail on the festive head, well done once again Morrisons :-)
