Nestlé to offer lightest water bottles in UK
Nestlé Waters is building a new manufacturing plant to produce what it claims are the lightest water bottles made in the UK.
The company is splashing out £35m on the factory and warehouse facility in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The site is set to open next spring and will package Buxton and Pure Life water.
The lighter bottles will use an average of 25% less plastic and have a shorter neck and a new shape. They will be made with reduced- PET plastic and are fully recyclable.
The company will also be launching a new sports cap with a tamper-evident seal.
