Welsh indie retailer CK’s Supermarkets has adopted the Nisa fascia to capitalise on the symbol group’s TV ad campaigns.

The retailer, which has 20 stores in Wales, has converted to the Nisa Local fascia and a white exterior in a number of stores. Previously, it had a green CK’s Supermarket fascia or displayed a CK’s Foodstore banner.

The new look was to complement Nisa’s TV ads, launched in December 2010 and repeated over Christmas, a spokeswoman for CK’s said, and coincided with a new corporate identity.

Customers had also said the white exterior made the stores stand out, she said, adding that staff would receive Nisa uniforms “in time”.
