Waitrose to revamp its headquarters
Waitrose is spending £20m on redeveloping the offices and distribution facilities at its Bracknell HQ.
It plans to have built an environmentally friendly chilled goods warehouse by June next year. "It is not only green in design, but enables us to improve the efficiency of our DC without putting more lorries on the roads," said director of development, Nigel Keen.
The retailer also plans to relocate its fruit and veg operation to another warehouse by September 2010.
Waitrose has had its HQ in Bracknell for 38 years.
