Swizzels turns up the love for Valentines

Swizzels Matlow makes 2.75 billion Love Hearts every year - and a fair few will be going into its first-ever limited-edition line.

As part of a Valentine’s Day collection, it has produced a limited run of 100,000 vintage-style heart-shaped tins containing mini Love Hearts (rsp: £1.99). The Valentine’s market is also being targeted with its new tube of mini Love Hearts emblazoned with ‘I Love You’ (rsp: £1).

Resurgent interest in retro sweets had made them an increasingly popular alternative to chocolate, said Swizzels Matlow.
