Booker looks set to launch a dedicated food to go range for independent retailers.

The cash & carry giant has trademarked the names 'Great to Go' and 'G2G Great to Go' under four categories covering meat and fish, store cupboard staples and beer wines and spirits.

"This is a brand we are currently working on and will have more details in due course," a Booker spokeswoman confirmed.

Meanwhile, Booker has lowered the price of more than 1,000 products in what it claims is its biggest-ever rollback.
