Supermarket success for natural drink EQ8
Natural energy drink EQ8 has won its first supermarket listing and is launching into 250 Morrisons stores nationwide.
The juice-based drinks, in cranberry & apple and orange & passion fruit flavours (rsp: £1.29/250ml), are designed to give a natural energy lift by combining caffeine with low-GI fruit sugars.
The launch is being supported by sampling at selected Morrisons stores throughout December, with the drinks initially sold at the promotional price of £1 to encourage trial. Selected stores will also be offering samples of EQ8 with Morrisons cava in the run-up to Christmas.
EQ8, which is already available at selected Holland & Barrett stores, is the first fmcg product from AirAsia founders and entrepreneurs Tony Fernandes and Kamarudin Meranun. It is the official drink of Team Lotus, the Britishbased Malaysian Formula One team.
