Carrot growers have found a quirky way to get Brits munching on carrots this summer - by launching the Carrot Whistle Olympics.

The British Carrot Growers Association will send out free whistles carved out of carrots to anyone who applies through its Facebook page.

It is also encouraging consumers to post videos of themselves playing “gold-themed” tunes on their whistles, to celebrate the Olympics.
