DBC Foodservice is expanding its range of Red Tractor assured products after sales rose by £600,000 in the last 20 weeks.

DBC plans to roll out a range of Red Tractor lamb and beef products aimed at chefs and caterers throughout the year.

The move is the latest by Rob McFarlane, who was brought in as commercial director for meats a year ago. Since his appointment DBC has launched Farmhouse Champion, its premium British red meat brand, an EBLEX quality standard range of assured beef and lamb products and a Red-Tractor-certified turkey range, Broadland Farms. It also sells a selection of Red Tractor chicken products.

“Our expanding range of Red Tractor products demonstrates our continued commitment to British farming and to offering quality British products to our discerning customers,” said McFarlane.

DBC’s fresh meat sales were up 10% year-on-year in the period between 1 April and 31 December 2011.
