PZ Cussons has unveiled a new range of products for mothers and babies dubbed Cussons Mum & Me.

The range, which PZ Cussons said would cater for “the three life-stages of bump, new mum and baby” will hit UK stores next month.

News of the range came as the company warned investors of a 15% drop in profits for the past year.

The Imperial Leather and Carex maker said a “robust performance” in the UK had been “more than offset” by higher costs of raw materials, which put a £25m dent in the bottom line, and tougher economic climates in markets including Australia and Nigeria.

Its board said performance since the last trading update has been in line with expectations.

Preliminary results for the year to 31 May will be announced on 24 July.
