InBev announced this week it was ditching two of its Stella variants.

Oak-aged beer Eiken Artois, launched this February, and the original 4% abv offer Peeterman Artois, launched in August 2006, will be now be phased out.

"We are phasing the two out in order to focus support on Stella Artois and Stella Artois 4%," said Stuart MacFarlane, president of InBev UK.

They will no longer be available in the on-trade from the end of the year and in the off-trade from April 2009.
