Manchester Drinks labels carry calories

The Manchester Drinks Company is adding calorie content details to labels on its pre-mixed cocktails.

The updated packaging is rolling into Asda, Spar, Iceland and Booker now on the company's My Cocktail range and will be introduced on the rest of its drinks portfolio over the next few weeks. The new label flags up that the range contains 100 calories or less per serving.

The company claimed the move had made it one of the only UK alcoholic drinks businesses to give nutritional information on its packaging.
