A marmalade made with Welsh gin has been crowned ‘product of the year’ at the 2011-2012 Wales The True Taste Food & Drink Awards.

Made by Emma and Mark Baravelli of The Little Deli in Llandudno, the lemon marmalade is made with gin that has been distilled in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

“Being a True Taste winner enables producers to catch the consumers’ eye and compete in the global marketplace,” said Alun Davies, deputy minister for agriculture, food and fisheries at the Welsh Assembly. The 10th anniversary awards attracted 1,017 entries from 366 companies.
