PlayStation Network given a new name

Sony has renamed its PlayStation Network as part of its strategy to move games, music and movies under a single service.

From last Wednesday, all users who update the operating systems of their PlayStation 3 - or Vita following its launch (see above) - will find their account renamed as a Sony Entertainment Network account.

“This helps us get closer to establishing a global network platform of services accessible from one account,” Sony said.
