New snack brand Gorilla Boogers 'nose' how to pick a good cause it is sponsoring an event to help save the gorilla.

The range of raisins (rsp: 55p/35g) have been developed with charity The Gorilla Organization in mind, said founder Jo Beach, who recently launched round-calorie range Tasty Little Numbers. The business has spent £40,000 on sponsoring the charity's Great Gorilla Run next year, in which hundreds of people will jog a seven-kilometre route in Central London dressed as gorillas. Gorilla Boogers' branding will appear on posters and joggers' bibs during the event, which takes place in September.

The brand, currently available from Amazon and Tree of Life, is seeking listings with mainstream retailers. It plans to add further raisin-based products to the range next year, including cereal bars, cookies, and yoghurt and chocolate-covered raisins.
