The £100 ice cube goes on sale this month

You’ve heard about the £100 sandwich and the $90 cheese – well how about the £80 ice cube?

This outlandish idea is the brainchild of Russian entrepreneur Sergei Vesennedurakov, who has just launched Entice – a hand-carved ice sphere made from water sourced from locations including the top of Mount Everest, the source of the Ganges and polar ice caps.

Depending on the source of the water the spheres cost from £80 to £100 each, with Vesennedurakov pitching them as a mixer for luxury spirits rather than a means of chilling a drink.
