The Co-operative Group and Procter & Gamble have joined forces to raise £300,000 for Mencap and ENABLE Scotland.

For the next six weeks, the fmcg giant will donate 3p on each product sold in a Co-op store from more than 20 of its brands, including Fairy, Head & Shoulders and Pampers.

Money raised through the Charity of the Year partnership will allow Mencap and ENABLE Scotland to launch a ground-breaking programme called Inspire Me.

It will work with thousands of people aged 16-25 with a learning disability to overcome the exclusion and prejudice faced by many.
