United Biscuits has mixed McVitie's HobNobs biscuits, KP nuts and chocolate together to create a new bagged sharing snack.

Nutty Nibbles, which is being launched this month under the KP brand, comes in two variants: Biscuits & Chocolate Nut Mix, which contains honey roast peanuts, mini Hob Nobs and chocolate chunks; and Fruit & Chocolate Nut Mix, which contains honey roast peanuts, red cherries, cranberries and dark chocolate raisins. Both are sold in 130g sharing bags (rsp: £2.40).

"The range has already received great feedback, with 75% of those that tried it saying they would go on to purchase," said UBUK bagged snacks marketing director George Johnston.

The products are designed to tap into the growing sharing snacks markets, which has risen 11% year-on-year to £633m [Nielsen 52w/e 18 June 2011]. Sales of the KP brand have risen 10% over the same period.
