Gianni Ciserani, Procter & Gamble's vice president and managing director for the UK and Ireland, has been awarded The Grocer Cup for Outstanding Business Achievement, as voted for by readers of The Grocer.

Ciserani picked up the award, which is one of the industry's top accolades, at the IGD Food Industry Awards held last night in London.

He has enjoyed excellent growth in P&G's key product
categories and following P&G's acquisition of Gillette last year, successfully integrated the UK Gillette into P&G.

Ciserani said: “It's one of my best days ever. It's phenomenal and totally surprising.”

Other winners last night included Masterfoods who were awarded the IGD President's Cup, Sainsbury's 'Try Something Healthier Campaign', which received the Nestlé Wellness Award and Innocent's upscaling the supply chain, which won the Ian MacLaurin Award.
