Hello Fresh staff on the streets of London for its tw-day charity sale of meal boxes

Hello Fresh is staging a two-day sale of its meal boxes in central London venues to raise money for a food waste charity.

Londoners will be able to purchase recipe boxes - which contain three meals for two and normally retail at £36 - for whatever price they choose. All proceeds will go to charity The Felix Project, which gives surplus produce from grocers to people living in food poverty in the capital.

Hello Fresh hopes to sell 7,500 meals for two during the promotion, which began yesterday and will end today.

Hello Fresh co-founder Patrick Drake said he was “passionate” about helping to reduce food waste. “It’s our mission in life and we think that the work that The Felix Project is doing is incredible.”

Daisy Fletcher from The Felix Project said she was “thrilled” to receive the support from Hello Fresh. “By buying a box of their fresh produce, customers will not only have ingredients for six delicious meals, they will also be donating money to a very worthwhile cause. Every penny raised will be used by Felix to feed Londoners in need.”
