Simon Mowbray Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is to launch a new range of posh' crisps from Walkers. The multi-millionaire pop star, famously married to England football captain David Beckham, will star alongside Walkers brand ambassador Gary Lineker in TV ads for new sub-brand Sensations. Walkers this week finally revealed how it planned to use the artist formally known as Posh Spice following weeks of speculation. The company is understood to have been angered that news of its collaboration with Mrs Beckham was leaked to a national newspaper ahead of schedule, by someone suspected to be in the singer's camp. Posh will now film a television commercial for Sensations with Lineker this month behind closed doors with only a handful of carefully selected parties allowed to attend the shoot. Launching at the start of April, Sensations will be positioned as a mainstream premium' offering, sitting in the gap between Walkers' existing range and top of the range lines such as rival Kettle. Walkers trade marketing manager Cath Painter said Sensations were made with specially selected British potatoes which will hit shelves in a range of flavours including Four Cheese and Red Onion, Oven Roasted Chicken & Thyme, Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper, Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar, and Thai Sweet Chilli. The snacks will be available in a sharing 150g bag and single-serve 40g formats, rsp: £1.29 and 40p respectively. "This is the biggest snack launch of the last decade," claimed Painter. {{P&P }}
