I am delighted to be able to offer The Grocer my congratulations, and those of the farming community, on this momentous anniversary.

As the years have gone by, and farmers and growers have moved closer to their customers, The Grocer has become required reading for those of us involved with the NFU. It is hugely valuable, not just for the food chain news and market information that it provides, but for the insight that it offers into the way our customers are thinking and, sometimes, what they are thinking about us.

The British food industry is fortunate indeed to be served by a magazine as respected and long-established as The Grocer. Long may you flourish.
Peter Kendall, president, NFU

Just opened the anniversary issue of The Grocer! A monster indeed. Very impressed - loads of great features, stories, commentary and some really good advertising. Well done. You should be super proud of the achievement. Wow!
Dalton Philips, CEO, Morrisons

I’ve been a Grocer reader for 52 years. I read it every Saturday morning after breakfast. Last Saturday, it took me all morning to read your 150th edition - I was late for golf!

What a riveting read it was - an amazing tribute to a journal that has informed our trade for 150 years, and a vivid picture of the food industry today. Warmest congratulations to everyone at The Grocer.
Henry Amar, chairman, RH Amar

Many, many congratulations on the anniversary issue. I have been reading The Grocer for about 25 years and this is the best edition in all that time. You must be very proud. All the best for the next 150 years.
Charles Wilson, CEO, Booker Group

I just landed in San Francisco after an 11-hour flight. The 150th anniversary issue kept me gripped on the journey. An outstanding issue with great history, analysis and reporting.
Stuart MacFarlane, president Central and Eastern Europe, AB InBev

In today’s post I received the commemorative issue of The Grocer. Usually the sales and marketing staff pinch it, but not today! I’m taking it home. Congratulations on a superb edition of a magazine I have been reading for 30 years - and for reaching this milestone.
Mervyn McCaughey, MD, Fivemiletown Creamery

Love the 150th anniversary issue. It’s top drawer stuff. Well done to all involved.
Martin Glenn, CEO, Birds Eye Iglo

Congratulations to The Grocer on reaching the big 150 - and for the 220-page ‘circular’ the team got out at the weekend!
Ian Deste, VP sales and marketing, Premier Foods

Congratulations on a superb issue, a milestone publication for the industry. Only one title could do it. I’m sure you have had many plaudits and the letter from the PM must have been the icing on the cake. It is so refreshing to receive a well-considered journal at any time, but in January, when there is so little of quality to read, a real treat.
Steven Esom, operating partner, Langholm Capital

Just seen The Grocer’s anniversary issue - absolutely fantastic, with some fascinating content. The advertising is phenomenal, too. Who said B2B mags are dying?
