Moy Park appointments

Moy Park’s Andy Ruding, Ian Bowers and Paul Longstaff

Northern Ireland-based poultry processor Moy Park has announced three new appointments to its senior management team.

Paul Longstaff has been promoted from head of supply chain optimisation to planning and logistics director, former head of planning Andy Ruding will take on a new role as head of customer service, while Ian Bowers has been promoted from head of procurement to director of procurement.

Longstaff, who has previously held positions at Mars, Premier Foods and Heinz, will focus on delivering “best in class service” to customers, Moy Park said.

Ruding will lead the customer-facing team to provide better customer engagement for the business, while Bowers, who has previously worked for BT and Kraft Foods, will be tasked with leading Moy Park’s full procurement function, including feed, and will be responsible for the strategic procurement of all Moy Park purchases.

“We are pleased to announce these three senior appointments at Moy Park,” said Moy Park supply chain director for Europe, Keith Irvine.

”Paul, Ian and Andy have a strong track record of delivering results, and their combination of experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry will prove invaluable in these new roles. This will further bolster our supply chain within the business, through a continued focus on customer engagement.”

The senior staff changes follow the appointment of Andrew Richards as commercial director two weeks ago.

Richards leads the company’s commercial strategy for the UK and Ireland, including insight, marketing, food innovation and commercial functions. It comes as Moy Park’s Brazilian owner, JBS, prepares to list its international division, which includes the Ulster poultry supplier, on the New York Stock Exchange.
