The resignation of Fortnum & Mason boss Beverley Aspinall this week has left a third post vacant in its management team.

After seven years at the helm, Aspinall will leave Fortnums on 31 May “to pursue new challenges.”

Her departure means the grocer will be on the hunt for yet another senior executive. It is currently advertising for a director of retail with the headhunters Anthony Gregg Partnership, having put out an ad for a new manager for its flagship Piccadilly store after Katie Wyle left in March.

Also in March, Fortnum & Mason appointed a new finance director - promoting Justin Carmichael, who had been a senior finance manager for five years.
