Kelly to drive fresh food at Henderson

Northern Irish Spar wholesaler Henderson Group has appointed Neal Kelly to the new position of fresh food director.

Henderson said it wanted fresh food to become a much larger part of its business and had appointed teams to develop its fresh ranges and processes.

Kelly joins from salad supplier Avondale Foods, where he was head of purchasing and logistics. He was previously a trading controller at Musgrave and a buyer at Sainsbury’s.

“Neal will be a huge asset in driving the organisation towards the objective of ‘Famous for Fresh’,” a spokeswoman said.
