JJ Foodservice has introduced an in-house nutritionist to advise public service clients on their menus.

The business has invested in training for group accounts acquisition manager Nina Grosicka, who can now work with schools, hospitals and care homes as a nutritional advisor as part of her current responsibilities.

When the business tenders for a public service organisation, a nutritional advisor is often a requirement for the application process - one it has previously been unable to fulfil. Following the qualification, Grosicka can now act as the go-to person to help customers build menus to the required nutritional standard.

“Many of our schools are working towards gaining the ‘Food for Life’ accreditation, which promotes food quality, health and sustainability,” said Grosicka.

“With this new qualification, we can support them in building nutritionally balanced, quality menus.”
