Hovis Birmingham

Hovis has appointed Lindt & Sprüngli grocery business unit controller Tim Stoller as its first convenience director.

Stoller, who starts at Hovis next week, joined Lindt & Sprüngli in 2010 as head of impulse and has previously worked at Innocent Drinks, where he also focused on impulse and out of home.

“Tim has a track record for developing astute impulse strategies that have delivered revenue, margin and profit growth,” said Hovis commercial director Chad Leembruggen.

Hovis has also revealed it is seeking to fill another new role - brand manager of innovation.

“Innovation is critical to Hovis,” said Leembruggen. “We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial marketer.”

News of the new roles comes as the business continues to seek a CEO and CFO following the departure of Bob Spooner and Michael Kennedy. The company said recruitment was “progressing well”.
