In the late 70s as a 20 something year old NAM I met with Peter at the Crown Hotel in Bawtry representing Food Brokers Ltd. Pete and Dud used the Crown hotel to meet up with suppliers in the early days of Nisa. I think I was one of the first suppliers to offer them an overrider on Lift Lemon Tea - it worked. Nearly every member of any worth placed orders for Lift Lemon Tea within days of that meeting.
We have been friends ever since.
