Let's get beyond the myth that free / brand publications have no value. The industry, and people's perceptions of it, has changed.

@James NRS give you average issue readership, so this is comparing readership of one issue of Tesco mag with one issue of the Sun. Not perfect as you're comparing a bi-monthly with a daily, but its still the best comparator the industry has. For an advertiser wanting to know how many people might see their print ad, for instance, this is the stat that matters.

@Esther - not true. The freemium model is thriving; just look at Stylist and Time Out.
