Or even better, how about we don't raise animals for food at all? As the United Nations Report of 2006 states (http://www.fao.org/docrep/010/a0701e/a0701e00.HTM) animal agriculture produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all other industries combinesd- including the ENTIRE world's transportation industry. So all very well, these cows are being given waste food. But what about their massive water consumption, their excessive gas emissions, their transportation emissions, the impact of their grazing land on native wildlife? Lets focus on the root issue in this case, that being reducing waste food in the first place.....
