Coca-Cola Enterprises has extended its Schweppes mixer portfolio as part of a revamp to attract younger adults.

A one-litre elderflower-flavoured tonic is being rolled out next week (rsp: £1.19) with slim 250ml formats of the brand’s ginger beer, elderflower and low-calorie bitter lemon variants (rsp: £2.49/four-pack). Its Russchian tonic has been re-named Citrus Blend.

The NPD was being introduced alongside a new look for Schweppes’ low-calorie and regular variants designed to engage a “younger demographic of adults aged 35-plus”, said CCE’s operational marketing director Caroline Carter. It would also capitalise on growing mixer sales, she added.
