Alldays has promoted Andy Davis to the position of director of buying, reporting to commercial director David Cheyne. Davis, 35, will have overall responsibility for the company's buying operation, overseeing trading controllers in the impulse, ambient and fresh categories. He will also have wider input as a member of the executive committee. Davis has been with Alldays for 12 years, starting as a trainee buyer in chilled foods and subsequently undertaking various buying roles prior to his appointment as head of buying in February 2001. Davis' promotion forms part of the restructuring of the buying division. He will be communicating his team's new vision to over 600 store managers at conferences throughout March. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
