Sir; The customer relations manager for Cadbury Trebor Bassett, Chris Morgan, is quoted as saying that retailers are missing out on Easter egg sales by understocking (The Grocer, September 22, page 10). Better, he says, to follow Cadbury's research and stock too much! Well, he would say that, wouldn't he! Fortunately, he has the power to solve this problem by two simple decisions. 1. Allow us all to buy his eggs on full sale-or-return terms. If his research is correct, he won't have too much stock to buy back after Easter. 2. Sell his eggs to me at a price that is lower than my customers pay for them at Tesco. Why order six months ahead, when for many of his standard eggs you can nip down to the supermarket next Easter and buy them cheaper? Richard Rickard Rowly Post Office Cranleigh Surrey {{LETTERS }}
