Indian food specialist Patak's is entering the burgeoning organics market with the launch of a range of Soil Association-approved curry sauces. Rolling out to stores now, the jarred offerings are available in Korma, Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh and Balti varieties. Serving three to four people, the 425g newcomers are going on sale priced at £1.79 each. Senior brand manager Tamsin Daniel said the move represented the first organic offering from an "authentic" Indian food brand. "Growth in organic foods is being driven by popular foods such as processed sauces but up until now, the choice for people wishing to buy organic from the Indian food fixture has been limited. "In fact, many organic consumers resort to buying mainstream curry sauces to ensure high quality. "With our new organic range, we plan to change that." {{P&P }}
