Cricket Cola is made by mixing kola nuts with pure cane sugar and brewed with an infusion of green tea. Available in Harvey Nichols, with an rsp of £1.95, and a handful of London restaurants, it is being rolled out to other soft drinks retailers now. It comes in regular and a diet variant, which has only five calories a bottle.
Pizzino director Jack Arazi said the aim was for a refreshing alternative to cola with high fructose corn syrup, phosphoric acid and other sugared ingredients. "There's no metallic tang or saccharine sweetness."
