The Cheese Company, part of Milk Link, has secured listings with Waitrose and Sainsbury for Old El Paso Mexican Style Grated Cheese, which it produces and distributes under licence for General Mills.

The blend of Cheddar and mozzarella, with jalapeno peppers, red and green bell peppers and capsicum seeds is now available in Waitrose, and will be in Sainsbury from mid-June.

Old El Paso Mexican Style Grated Cheese will be sold at an rsp of £1.89 for 200g in resealable units.

The licence was developed in response to The Cheese Company's research which showed a gap in the market for cheese for specific eating occasions.
