The company, a division of NWF Group, is planning to build three 100,000 sq ft warehouses at its Wardle centre in Cheshire. Construction is set to begin next month and be completed by March 2007.
MD Keith Forster said: "We have ambitious growth plans with some of our existing customers, but this project is partially speculative."
Forster noted that Boughey already acted as a primary consolidation centre for some clients and expected such services to expand. This, he said, was part of the evolution of the distribution and haulage business, driven by retailers streamlining their supply chains.
He expected its staff of 430 to increase by a third.
