Strong fizzy drink sales have helped Britvic record growth of 5.6% to £978.8m.
The Pepsi and Robinsons maker saw volumes of its carbonates jump 7.9% in the past 12 months, with stills up 3.6%. Pepsi, 7Up and Tango all achieved double-digit growth following stronger marketing support.
“Strong revenue growth achieved by selling more branded soft drinks at higher prices characterises our performance in the latest quarter and the full year,” said chief executive Paul Moody.
“Compelling brand-equity programmes and strong innovation, supported by excellent execution at the point of sale, were instrumental in our success.”
However, the company’s Ireland operation continues to struggle and is expected to post a decline in volumes of almost 14% in the three months to the end of September.
